Sundowners Guesthouse is listed at 125/10–11 Rat-U-Thit 200 Pi Road in Patong’s Royal Paradise Complex. Travelgay describes king and queen guest rooms above a bar and bistro. A separate property inventory lists air conditioning, a restaurant and Wi-Fi. The setting is part of the attraction for travellers coming to enjoy the surrounding nightlife.
This is an urban guesthouse proposition: sleep in the same neighbourhood where you plan to spend the evening. If you need an early bedtime, ask about the room’s position relative to the bar and nearby venues. Being close to nightlife does not establish the noise inside every room, but it makes room placement a more useful question than a general promise of tranquillity.
Room praise, followed by arrival complications
Leonid’s March 2016 Tripadvisor review liked the location near Patong’s gay nightlife and praised the room and bed linen. In January 2017, MissBnrrd appreciated a good-sized room, Wi-Fi, towels and coffee, but described finding reception closed at 9am and experiencing booking confusion before eventually checking in.
Jammie82’s account of a December 2017 stay described a reservation and payment not being acknowledged, followed by a second payment. This was one historical guest’s reported dispute; it does not establish a current practice. Together, the older arrival accounts make it sensible to obtain clear acknowledgement of the booking and agree an arrival time.
Keep the practical arrangements simple
An early arrival is particularly worth discussing: reaching the building before normal room access may require a luggage plan as well as a way to contact the host. Retain the reservation confirmation and payment record so the agreed room, dates and payment status are easy to establish.
Sundowners is best considered by travellers who actively want this part of Patong and are comfortable with accommodation above hospitality premises. The historical room praise supports that possibility, while the arrival reports identify a practical matter to resolve. They do not justify a confident judgement about current service or room upkeep.
