Food and access define the choice
Green Tiger Vegetarian House, also known as Green Tiger House, is in Chiang Mai Old City near the North Gate. The official description gives 32 rooms and a fully plant-based breakfast alongside Reform Kafe. Vegans and nonvegans are welcome, but anyone expecting an egg or meat breakfast should consider the food offering before choosing a rate.
The house has a luggage lift, not a passenger elevator. A fourth-floor sky lounge therefore does not imply an accessible lift journey upstairs. Agree the room floor before booking if climbing stairs is difficult. Air-conditioned en-suite rooms list solar-heated showers, refillable toiletries, a refrigerator, safe, television, desk and Wi-Fi.
Room size and recent guest experience
The room table displayed on Planet of Hotels distinguishes an 18-square-metre Small Double, 20-square-metre Standard, 24-square-metre Superior, 28-square-metre Triple and 65-square-metre Family option. Compare the actual category, particularly when several people need space beyond the beds.
Arielle’s 26 August 2026 review praised cleanliness, staff, food and resident animals but found doors noisy. Lauren, reviewing on 2 August, was not vegan and nevertheless enjoyed breakfast and laundry service. Selma’s 18 May account liked breakfast, cats and the pool but reported weak water pressure and a leaking tap. Erin, reviewing on 13 May, liked the food and pool but said Wi-Fi did not reach her room.

A clear fit, with a few practical questions
The plant-based meals and Old City setting are the most distinctive reasons to consider the house. Confirm the floor first, then ask about in-room connectivity if work calls matter. The recent pool comments describe those guests’ visits; clarify present access if swimming is central to the stay. Travellers sensitive to animals or corridor noise should raise those points when discussing a room.
