Khao Sok Jasmine Garden Resort: a village bungalow base with room to unwind

One- and two-bedroom bungalows, substantial terraces and dated praise for excursion advice make this a practical alternative to sleeping on the lake.

Stay in the village, explore beyond it

Khao Sok Jasmine Garden Resort is at 35/6 Moo 6, Khlong Sok, Phanom, Surat Thani. The family-run property describes a central but quiet position in Khao Sok Village, with the national park entrance and evening venues within a few hundred metres. This is a garden-resort base on land, rather than a floating bungalow on Cheow Lan Lake.

That distinction shapes the itinerary. Choose the village when you want to return to the same room after outings and have access to nearby dining. A lake excursion then becomes a separate activity to organise. The resort’s pool provides another way to spend a slower afternoon between excursions, without moving accommodation.

The one-bedroom option has a proper terrace

The official one-bedroom description gives a 25-square-metre bungalow with a large bedroom and bathroom, plus a five-by-three-metre terrace with divan beds. Indoors, it describes a king-size bed and a studio sofa on which one person can sleep. Confirm the permitted occupancy and sofa arrangement if considering that third sleeping place.

Teak furniture, a sliding-door cupboard, air conditioning and a fan feature in the room description. The terrace is particularly relevant if you want somewhere to sit without staying in the bedroom: it adds usable outdoor living space to the compact interior. Ask about the specific bungalow’s outlook when a mountain view is a priority, rather than assume every angle looks identical.

Two bedrooms does not mean two double rooms

The two-bedroom bungalow page describes accommodation for four: a larger room with a king-size bed, a smaller bedroom with bunk beds and one bathroom. It gives the same 25-square-metre interior figure and an additional five-by-three-metre terrace. Each bedroom has its own air conditioner.

This arrangement is especially worth comparing with the needs of the actual group. Parents and children who accept bunks may find it more suitable than two couples expecting equivalent double bedrooms. The single shared bathroom is another practical consideration when everyone is leaving for an early excursion. Both room descriptions mention seven-zone mattresses, privacy glass and hot water supplied through solar and digital heating; these are listed features rather than guarantees of individual sleeping comfort. Separate air-conditioning controls may help when adults and children prefer different temperatures, although the smaller bunk room still makes this an unequal bedroom pairing.

Food and help with the day’s plans

The resort describes cooking with handmade curry pastes and vegetables from its garden. That gives the food offering a specific connection to the property, without establishing any independent organic certification. Richard’s guest review dated 19 December 2025 praised homemade meals and hearing rainforest sounds from bed.

The Booking guest accounts displayed on Planet of Hotels repeatedly mention help with activities. On 27 January 2026, Filip praised Klaus and DeeDee for fitting excursions around a tight schedule, alongside clean bungalows and nearby bars and restaurants. Kim’s 20 June 2025 review appreciated detailed advice and arrangements for a park hike, river ride and lake day, as well as nearby laundry and dining. Natalie, reviewing on 27 April 2025, liked the spacious, clean bungalow, pool, gardens and food, with daily water and decorative touches.

Those are individual experiences. Discuss the timing of your own excursions before compressing several activities into a short visit, and establish which arrangements are separately charged.

Budget for meals and settle payment terms

The official booking page says room rates exclude breakfast and payment is in cash on arrival. Check the terms attached to the reservation you actually choose, including any deposit or platform payment, so arrival does not bring an unexpected cash requirement. Breakfast should have its own place in the budget.

Jasmine Garden’s clearest appeal is a village stay with bungalow privacy, terraces and a pool, supported by recent guest praise for practical excursion help. Choose the bedroom configuration first, then arrange the outings around it.
