Inn A Day: choose the river view deliberately in Tha Tien

A former coconut-sugar factory now combines boutique accommodation, dining and a rooftop opposite Wat Arun.

A riverside setting with a working past

Inn A Day is at 61 Maharat Road in Bangkok’s Tha Tien district. The official property story identifies the building as a former coconut-sugar factory beside the Chao Phraya, opposite Wat Arun. That background gives the accommodation a specific relationship to the riverside neighbourhood, while its present offering includes dining and a rooftop.

This location makes sense for visitors concentrating on the palace and temple district. It also makes the direction of a room’s windows a meaningful booking detail: staying at a riverside property is not the same as reserving a river-facing room.

City-view and river-view rooms are separate choices

The official room page lists a Comfort Double Room with Balcony as city-view accommodation. King Rooms, Deluxe Double Rooms and Deluxe Double or Twin Rooms are separately described with river views. Higher-floor versions appear as distinct options.

Read the complete category name. A balcony alone does not establish a Wat Arun view. Ask what outlook the proposed room actually offers.

When separate beds matter, confirm a twin arrangement with the hotel rather than infer it from another room’s photographs.

Recent guests describe the renovated stay

Piepenbrink’s July 2026 Tripadvisor account praised the renovated rooms, the operators and a new rooftop with views towards Wat Arun and river cruise boats. This is particularly useful context because older photographs and descriptions may reflect an earlier version of the property.

A Trip.com guest who stayed in a Deluxe Double or Twin Room with River View in August 2026, reviewing on 21 September, praised the staff, view, cleanliness and breakfast. That review concerns a named river-view category; it does not establish the outlook from the Comfort Double.

Keep dining and accommodation expectations clear

The rooftop can add a different perspective to the stay, but a rooftop visit and a room booking are separate experiences. Confirm opening times, any dining reservation requirements and whether breakfast belongs to the chosen rate.

Choose the view category first, then confirm bedding and floor preferences.
