Match the old name to the current house
Baan Nana is now listed as Baan Banyan, a two-storey teak house at 228/4 Mae Nam Soi 5 on Koh Samui. Match the address and house when booking under the newer name. This is village accommodation near shops and the beach, rather than a beachfront villa.
The host’s Airbnb listing offers the entire home for four guests, with two bedrooms, two beds and two bathrooms. A fully equipped kitchen and air-conditioned downstairs living space support a more independent stay. The upper-floor bedrooms are also air-conditioned.
Independent arrival and a shared pool
The host describes lockbox self check-in and online support from the owner. This is presented as an independent stay, so arrival instructions matter more than an expectation of a staffed reception desk.
The 12-by-4-metre pool, Jacuzzi and children’s pool are shared with other houses in the same area. A private home booking does not make these private swimming facilities. The combination is a useful distinction: your accommodation is an entire house, while the pool is communal.

Quiet village, but not a guarantee of quiet nights
Sarah’s review dated 28 October 2025 liked the spacious, comfortable villa and nearby shops and beach. She found Mae Nam quiet that October and went elsewhere when seeking more activity. Justin Ehresman’s review dated 1 August 2026, however, reported noise from the neighbouring place on multiple nights.
The two accounts describe different aspects of the location: a village can feel subdued for evening entertainment while a particular neighbouring property causes disturbance. For a noise-sensitive visit, ask about the house’s immediate surroundings. Baan Banyan is most appealing when a two-bedroom home, self-catering space and shared swimming facilities match the trip.
